Only play European roulette and not the American wheel.

These are somewhat greater odds than the American roulette wheel, which has a house advantage of just over 5%!
Betting the Dozens or Columns
If you look at the roulette table you will notice that there are three columns with 12 numbers each. In European Roulette these are known as "dozens" This bet requires you to place money on two of the three columns. By doing this, you will have 24 numbers covered in a 2:1 bet.
For example, you bet $50 on each of the two columns, making your total bet $100.
Should you win on one of the columns, you win back $100, and the $50 you bet on the column ($150 in total).
According to the mathematical odds, for every 10 spins of the wheel, you will win at least 50% of the time, so you are really winning and having won, stop playing.
The house odds are known to increase as the period of play increases. It is suggested to stop playing at this point and walk away a winner.
However, placing only one bet, for 10 spins can be tiresome and not very much fun after a while.

For this particular bet it is advised that you play European roulette as your odds of winning when playing this bet are much greater.
European Roulette Rule "en prison"
The European "en prison" (in prison) rule reduces the casino's odds, and it's a really good bet. Here is how it works.
The "en prison" bets works only on even-money bets.
Even money bets are the high/low, red/black, and odd/even bets. If you use this bet, and whatever you bet, if ball lands in zero, your "en prison" bet allows you to either take back half of what you bet or you can let the bet ride for the next spin.
Playing "en prison" cuts the casinos odds of winning down by 1.35%. Many professional gamblers play this bet.
Never ever play situation bets, as the odds are highly stacked against you. That is why the payout is so high on those bets.
However, with the even money bets, and considering the casino's odds, you will still have a 45% chance of winning.
How to Win at Roulette?
Follow the advice above, do not play for long periods, and do not be lured into betting on a number of combinations, you will lose.
Stick with the bets with the best odds and play en prison as often as possible as it has the best odds of all and gives you the best chance to win at roulette.
