Cleaning your rain gutter is an important part of your cleaning process. Unless you clean it at least once a week or more often during the rainy season, there are chances that dirt will get stuck and lead to the spilling of water. At times, it may also cause the gutter to break apart, thus destroying the duct through which the water passes. There is, of course, the option in front of you to spend around $100 for the gutter cleaning. . This will save your time and energy, but you have to shell out cash for it. However, if you clean the gutter yourself, it can be a form of exercise as well and you can choose a holiday or a Sunday to do it. Here is how you can clean your gutter.

Gutter Cleaning using a Ladder

Unless you want to reach the gutter from the roof, you have to use a step ladder to clean the rain gutter. So take a stepladder that reaches the proper height. Take the steps slowly. You do not want to fall while cleaning your gutte. Then, stoop over the duct and carefully wipe out the small specs. Use a water pipe to brush off the left remains of the gutter. . Now ask someone to pass you a water pipe to do the gutter cleaning properly. Now check if the gutter has been cleaned properly. Now your gutter is almost clean. This is one way you can do your gutter cleaning.

Gutter Cleaning without a Ladder

There are other ways, besides a ladder for you to clean your gutter. You do not have to fear and drop your sleep over this. You can use gutter tongs which are high enough to do the gutter cleaning. However, they are not as thorough as the other methods of gutter cleaning. If your roof top is not very slanted and can be easily walked over, you can climb on top of the roof and clean your gutter. However, risk is involved here too. So, be careful not to decide upon initiating your gutter cleaning on a windy or rainy day. You can try climbing to your roof only if it is not very tilted. Gutter cleaning can be easier and better from the roof. However, do not even plan to step on your roof on a windy or rainy day. Avoid the roof also if it has snowed very recently or is possibly going to snow on sometime. It can be very dangerous and at times even fatal if you fall from your roof.

Stain free Gutter Cleaning

Accumulation of water along with leaves and other random things often leaves stains in your rain gutter. Getting rid of the stains is not mandatory, but if you like your gutter to be clean, you would want it stain free as well. To wipe off the stains, put bleaching powder after cleaning the rain gutter with a water pipe. Allow the bleach to stay there for some time and then wash it off with water to get a clean, stainless gutter.
