Luxurious Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana was founded by the designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The couple met while working together in Milan, and in 1985 were invited to present a "New Talent" show for the Milano Collezioni. The following year, they showed their first collection of women's ready-to-wear. A menswear collection and expansion of the brand soon followed.
Dolce & Gabbana are well-known for dressing stars, and are highly favored by such celebrities as Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore and Madonna -- in fact, they designed all of the costumes for Madonna's tour in 1993, the provocative Girle Show.
